Bill Belichick will be in Ocean City, NJ, for Football Event on Thursday

The 2024 high school football season kicks off in Ocean City on Thursday and six-time Super Bowl championship coach Bill Belichick will be there at Carey Stadium to watch.

Belichick, who made reference to the Battle at the Beach during the first-round of the NFL Draft back in April on "The Pat McAfee Show Draft Spectacular".

The former New England Patriots coach mentioned the marque game of the event, IMG Academy against Bergen Catholic on Thursday night, during the NFL draft coverage and said he'd be there to watch the game that will air on ESPN television.

Reports are that over 3,500 tickets have been sold for Thursday game, last year the IMG game had over 8,000 in attendance.

On Tuesday night, Collingwood head football coach Michael McKeown confirmed that Belichick will be in attendance for the game.

"Bill Belichick his vip passes for Thursday Night Big game between IMG and Bergen Catholic," McKeown posted on social media with a photo of the coach. The Greatest of all time will be at Carey stadium."

The three-day event opens Thursday in Ocean City and will shift to Egg Harbor Township for Friday and Saturday’s schedule.
