Bowen: Interested To See What Roseman Does Next
The Eagles have kept busy in the offseason after winning their first Super Bowl Championship as Executive VP of Football Operations Howie Roseman has worked tirelessly to get the team under the Salary Cap while making upgrades to the roster. Even though the team has lost players like Trey Burton and Patrick Robinson in Free Agency, they have made the moves necessary to be able to re-sign Nigel Bradham while also making additions with Haloti Ngata, Michael Bennett and Daryl Worley. Knowing Roseman's track record, this is only the beginning of the transactions the team will make as they prepare for the NFL Draft along with the 2018 season.
Philadelphia Daily News Eagles Writer Les Bowen joined The Sports Bash on Tuesday with his perspective on what is next for the team this offseason:
“I’m interested to see what Howie Roseman does (next) – I think they certainly need another really good pass catching Tight End to go with Zach Ertz and that could very well end of being where they go at 32nd overall in the First Round if they hold on to that pick. I think they need a good, young Safety to come up behind Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod, that could very well be a high draft priority, I don’t really think you are going to find that guy in Free Agency. (With) Wide Receiver they definitely need to add to that group there, it’s a good group but it’s not a great group, it could be better especially since Alshon Jeffery is going to miss the offseason and Training Camp and probably the Preseason after Shoulder Surgery. I’d like to see them in the Draft or through Free Agency find somebody that can be a contributor there, not a Superstar but a solid contributor….There are several depth situations that need to be addressed – Certainly depth and Special teams that can be a lot better.”
