With the Eagles acquisition of Michael Bennett from the Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia adds to the strength of their defense a Three-time Pro Bowl selection who has been consistently productive over the last seven seasons.  Bennett has tallied at least Five Sacks in five of the last seven seasons while averaging 28.6 Tackles per year and has been consistently graded as one of the top tier Defensive Ends in the NFL by Pro Football Focus.

710 ESPN Seattle Radio Host and NFL Insider John Clayton joined The Sports Bash on Wednesday giving insight into what the Eagles are getting with Michael Bennett:

“Michael’s a great player...really one of the most intelligent Defensive Lineman in football because he starts out at End then he moves into Tackle on the Nickel (formation) – He’s able to fight through injuries….He’s still at the age of 31 going on 32 this past year was playing (84.79%) of the snaps and you figure at that age it’s almost too much but he held up very well – Maybe now he’s going to be in the mode, particularly with the talent that’s on the Eagles’ Defensive Line, to try and take a few plays (off).”
