On Monday night, the Flyers held a 3-0 lead and 4-2 lead and let a game slip away in a shootout loss to Vegas. On Wednesday night, they stole a game they had no business winning.

After being dominated for much of the game, the Flyers managed to tie things up in the final seconds, then secure the win on Sean Couturier's tip-in goal with 2:29 remaining in overtime to claim a 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators.

The Predators got on the board first with a 4-on-4 goal at 6:17. Roman Josi turned on the speed and made is move behind the net. His attempt toward the net hit off of Travis Sanheim and deflected in to make it 1-0 on his fifth goal of the season.

The Flyers answered back at 12:46. Scott Laughton took a shot from an angle that beat Juuse Saros to even the score at one.

Nashville got the lead back with 3:42 remaining in the period. Ryan O'Reilly was left alone at the left circle to fire a one-timer and make it 2-1 with his fourth goal of the season.

Through 20 minutes, shots were 10-6 Nashville.

The Predators opened up a 19-13 lead in shots for the game in the second, aided largely by a dominant power play that was mostly turned aside by Aleksei Kolosov. The deficit remains at one after two periods.

The third period was playing out very similar to the second, with the Flyers struggling to generate shots. The Flyers got a power play with 2:23 remaining, getting the goalie pulled and making their push. Just seconds after the power play expired, the Flyers finally got the equalizer. Morgan Frost tipped in a chance at the front of the net with 11.4 seconds left to even things up at two.

That forced overtime, where both teams came close to ending it in the opening minute. Josi hit the post on a scoring chance at one end, then Matvei Michkov hit iron on a breakaway.

With 2:29 remaining in the overtime, the Flyers finished things off with another tip off the rush. Couturier reached ahead with one hand and tipped the feed from Travis Konecny past Saros to win the game with his sixth goal of the season.

Kolosov made 25 saves on 27 shots in the win. Saros made 20 saves on 23 shots in the loss.

Couturier had two points in the win for the Flyers.

The Flyers return home for the annual Black Friday game, facing off against the New York Rangers at 1 p.m.
