Eagles' best number: 9 (points allowed in the second half)

Eagles' worst number: 3 (Eagles fumbles)

View from my living room:
The only thing colder than the Eagles' offense was the delicious, homemade key lime ice cream I devoured after dinner.  It was made by my daughter-in-law.

Three stars

  1. Cowboys place-kicker Brandon Aubrey (4 field goals, including a 60-yarder and 59-yarder).
  2. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (24-for-39, 271 yards, 2 TDs).
  3. Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter (42-yard fumble return for a TD)

Eagles' best play

The defense provided the only touchdown.  Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox knocked the ball away from Prescott and Carter rumbled up the sideline for a 42-yard scoop-and-score TD in the third quarter.

Eagles' worst play
All three fumbles qualify, but we'll go with the first one. Quarterback Jalen Hurts coughed it up after an 11-yard run to the Dallas 20-yard line on the Eagles' opening drive.

Turning point
Carter's Touchdown cut the Cowboys' lead to 24-13 and provided the Eagles with a glimmer of hope. Dallas responded with Aubrey's 59-yard field goal that put the lead at 27-13.
