Our four grandsons finally got to open Christmas gifts at Mimi’s and Poppy’s house on Saturday after a series of viruses and flus made their rounds through the family.

Eagles linebacker Oren Burks drilled Packers kickoff returner Keisean Nixon during the opening kickoff and forced a fumble. Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. recovered it.
Eagles’ worst play
Packers running back Josh Jacobs broke three tackles during a 31-yard gain to the Eagles’ 1-yard line, then scored a TD one play later.
Turning point
The Eagles increased their lead to 16-3 in the third quarter when Goedert caught a short pass from quarterback Jalen Hurts, then stiff-armed a Packers defender to score a 24-yard TD.
Did you notice?
Packers wide receiver Bo Melton (Cedar Creek High School, Egg Harbor City) made a nice tackle for the Packers on special teams and also had one catch for 16 yards.… Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean suffered a foot injury that will likely sideline him for the remainder of the playoffs.… Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown had one catch for 10 yards and was spotted reading a book entitled “Inner Excellence” on the bench during the second half.… Packers quarterback Jordan Love threw three interceptions.… Eagles rookie cornerback Quinyon Mitchell had his first career interception in the fourth quarter.… Hurts had six straight completions to start the game, then had seven straight incompletions.
