Eagles and Phillies plus The Locker Room with Billy Schweim on the road

Even though I have officially hit the panic button with my Philadelphia Sports teams, we have a huge weekend for you in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim and we are excited to talk all things Phillies and Eagles!

The Eagles' loss to the Atlanta Falcons last Monday night exposed the Birds' inability to stop opposing offenses from scoring at will.  The Georgia Bulldog five aren’t as good as we thought they were.  After two weeks into the 2024 NFL season, the Eagles' defense is ranked at or near the bottom in almost every defensive category.

This Sunday the Eagles head to "The Big Easy" to face the high-powered Saints who have scored 91 points in their first two games.  Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts has become a turnover machine: Since the start of the 2023 NFL season, Jalen Hurts has thrown 18 Interceptions in his last 19 starts and this season, the Eagles Turnover differential in their first two games is -3. 

The Phillies drive me nuts with inconsistent play and the amount of strikeouts are piling up.  In their last four games, the Phillies have wiffed 52 times and their magic number remains at four.  The Phillies face the Mets in their second game of a four game series on Friday Night when Christopher Sanchez gets the ball.

In the month of September, Sanchez has pitched well in his three starts, with a 1.35 ERA.  If Sanchez continues to pitch well, he should be the team's number three starter in the playoffs.  We will break it all down this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim

In Hour Two, Mr. Negadelphia P.J. Corda joins the show, brought to you by Galloway Pool service.  Mr, Negadelphia reacts to the Eagles devastating loss to the Falcons.  Tim Chew from Tixforgood.org checks in with an update on what great prizes are available and finally we will talk with long-time college and NFL strength & Conditioning coach Jeff Hurd.
