The Eagles signed one of their former running backs to help fill a hole at the position, signing Corey Clement to a one-year deal.

Clement, a 25-year-old free agent who played his high school football at Glassboro high, is back with the Eagles, adding to their running back room.

Clement missed time with a shoulder injury, that ended his 2019 season after just four games.

 

After a promising rookie season, where he a small role on the Eagles Super Bowl team, including one of the key plays of the game in the Super Bowl against the Patriots, Clement struggles in 2018 with injuries and had just 259 rushing yards.

Now he is back to provide some more depth and a veteran presence to a running back room that features second-year player Miles Sanders and Boston Scott.

Clement was a undrafted free agent, who was signed by the Eagles after the 2017 draft. He spent his first three seasons with Philadelphia and while he didn't miss a game during his rookie season, he appeared in just 15 total games the past two years with the Eagles.
