The Philadelphia Eagles appear pretty healthy as they board the plane to Brazil for Friday's opener against the Green Bay Packers.

The team put out their first injury report for the 2024 season and listed just four players, all as limited.

  • WR A.J. Brown (resting player)
  • G Landon Dickerson (resting player)
  • CB Isaiah Rodgers (hand)
  • LB Devin White (ankle)

Obviously Brown and Dickerson will be ready to play and on the field in Brazil and it seems likely that both Rodgers and White will be fine and both should have key roles on Friday night.

Rodgers will get snaps opposite Darius Slay at outside cornerback, but that doesn't mean we won't see rookie first-round pick Quinyon Mitchell.

"He's just played well," Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio stated, "He's done a good job picking up his responsibilities, done a good job playing, and he will be out there."

Fangio says Mitchell will be out on the field and will play in the nickel position and outside when the team uses only two corners.  However, Fangio acknowledged how quickly Mitchell has picked up on things.

"Pretty quickly because we did play him at nickel early on, and he did fine in there," Fanio explained. "I do think for him personally, it would be good to lock in at one spot because even though we've been very happy with his development and his learning abilities, he still is a rookie, and I do think if he can get comfortable at one spot, it would be to his benefit. But we may not be able to do that."

White will likely get the most snaps at linebacker with Zach Baun or Nakobe Dean playing alongside him on Friday night.

You can listen to the Eagles and Packers on Friday with pregame coverage at 7pm, and kick-off with Merrill Reese and Mike Quick at 8:15 on 97.3 ESPN South Jersey's home for Eagles football.
