Eagles Ink Second-Round Pick Landon Dickerson
The Eagles have signed second-round pick Landon Dickerson to a multi-year contract, the team announced before the start of Tuesday’s start of training camp.
Dickerson, chosen with the 37th overall selection, becomes the last of Philadelphia's draft picks to sign with the team.
The team is hoping the Alabama alum will be ready for the start of the season after ACL surgery, but his rehab is reportedly ahead of schedule.
The first-team All-American tore his ACL in December during the SEC title game.
The versitile lineman is expected to be slotted behind Brandon Brooks and Isaac Seimalo at both guard positions and a possible replacement down the road at center for Jason Kelce.
Dickerson was one of the best pass protectors and run blockers in college football, and was awarded the Rimington Trophy as the nations top center.
With Dickerson in the mix, the Eagles have some nice depth on the offensive line, with Nate Herbig and Jack Driscoll expected to battle for reserve roles, after getting plenty of valuable experience in 2020.
