Eagles Injury Report: Lane Johnson, Jalen Carter DNP on Wednesday
Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson and defensive tackle Jalen Carter were both listed as nonparticipants in Wednesday’s practice, while left guard Landon Dickerson was limited with a calf injury.
There have been reports that Johnson could return to the lineup this weekend. He has been sitting out since his Week 11 foot injury, but is still not back to practicing.
Nick Sirianni Comments on the All-Pro Tackle
"He is working hard to do everything he can do to get back as fast as he possibly can, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said on Wednesday. Obviously, he's a great football player, great team leader, and we'll see. We'll see where that is as we continue on. We've got to a walkthrough today, being that it's a short week for us, but we'll see. We'll see as the week continues."
Getting Johnson back would be a big boost to an offense that has struggled mightily without their All-Pro right tackle. Veteran Fred Johnson would continue to get the nod at right tackle if Lane Johnson is unable to return.
As for Carter, he underwent procedures on both of his shoulders last Monday and is considered week-to-week and will likely miss his second game in a row.
Dickerson left Monday's game against the Chargers but returned to the field and finished the game. Veteran Brett Toth took his place at left guard during the game.
Philadelphia (8-5) is ramping up to play the Raiders (2-11) on Sunday.
Wednesday's injury report was a walkthrough, and these injury designations are an estimation.
Other Notable Participants and Absences
Linebacker LB Zack Baun (hand) and long snapper Charley Hughlett (abdomen) were both listed as full participants. The team opened the 21-day practice window for Hughlett, who was dealing with a core injury on Wednesday, after waiving Cal Adomitis on Tuesday.
