
Eagles vs. Lions SNF Game Draws Massive 23.5 Million Viewers
The Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions might not have been the most exciting game, but it had the attention of the country.
When the NFC favorites met, a 16-6 Eagles victory, plenty of people were tuned in to see who would prevail on Sunday Night Football.
NBC Sports released the viewship data for the game, and it was the second most-watched game of the week, with only the Broncos and Chiefs clash getting more viewers
With Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth on the call, an estimated 23.5 million people watched the game according to NBC Sports PR data, making it the most-watched Sunday Night Football game since 2013, in a game that saw the Eagles' defense dominate the Lions.
What the Outcome Meant for Both Teams
The win kept the Eagles in the top spot in the NFC race, but knocked the Lions out of the current playoff field. With the win, the Eagles have a 47% chance of landing the NFC's top seed. As for Detroit, they’re now 6-4, and not only in trouble in the NFC North race, currently just outside the playoff picture, sitting in the No. 8 spot after the loss.

Philadelphia has another big game this week that will likely draw a big audience against their longtime NFC East rival, the Dallas Cowboys, with Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady on the call at 4:25 on FOX.
