Philadelphia Eagles defensive back coach and pass-game coordinator Christian Parker is reportedly interviewing for the vacant Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator job, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Christian Parker Interviews for Cowboys’ Vacant DC Role

Parker has spent the past two seasons in Philadelphia with the Eagles, having plenty of success in the secondary with Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean being named All-Pros this season.

The Cowboys fired first-year defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus last week from his post after Dallas finished 7-9-1 on the season.

Parker joins former Eagles defensive coordinator and Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon as candidates for the Dallas job.  The Cowboys have been connected to eight candidates for the position.

Before coming to Philadelphia, Parker spent two seasons in Green Bay before joining the Broncos as the defensive backs coach.

Philadelphia’s Search for a New Offensive Coordinator Begins

On the offensive side, the Eagles parted ways with coordinator Kevin Patullo on Tuesday and have since been connected to multiple replacements.

The Shortlist: Mike McDaniel and Brian Daboll

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Eagles have reached out to former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll.

Two other names have been discussed, per veteran NFL reporter Josina Anderson, who cites Kliff Kingsbury and Kevin Stefanski as options.

Also, per Anderson, the team is looking for an "established name" guy and says:

A league source also just told me initial talks with #Eagles offensive coordinator candidates/ "their camps" have gone well, adding that the feedback has been on wanting to have questions assuaged on "complete autonomy" over the offense--similar to what Kellen Moore enjoyed when he was with Philly. Those concerns were met with responses insuring an elite candidate should not anticipate "any interference," the source said.

Remember, Kingsbury was the runner-up before the 2024 season when the team hired Kellen Moore .  He has served as the Arizona Cardinals head coach and Washington Commanders offensive coordinator for the past two seasons.
