Eagles Injury Report: 2 Key Defensive Players DNP
Philadelphia Eagles had three key defensive players listed on the first injury report ahead of this week's game in Tennessee on Sunday against the Titans.
Key Defensive Injuries Heading Into Week 2
Two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jalen Carter and Pro Bowl defensive back Cooper DeJean were each held out of practice on Wednesday. Pro Bowl edge rusher Jonathan Greenard, who missed the team's Week 1 game against Washington, was limited.
Carter is dealing with a injury, and Greenard is still dealing with a pectoral injury.
Below is a full look at Philadelphia’s practice report from Wednesday. The Eagles will release their mandatory game status designations on Friday with updates on all three players.
Philadelphia Eagles Practice Report
- DNP – DT Jalen Carter (wrist), DB Cooper DeJean (calf/abdomen)
- LIMITED – OLB Jonathan Greenard (pectoral)
DeJean was listed with a calf and abdomen issue and appeared to injure himself on a play in the second quarter against Washington.
According to Jeff Kerr of SI.com, Washington targeted DeJean nine times in the pass game on Sunday, completing seven passes for five first downs and 30 yards after the catch.
DeJean didn't seem to think the injury contributed to his play on Sunday.
“Not too much,” DeJean stated.
Speaking after practice on Wednesday, DeJean sounded like a guy who was going to play on Sunday.
“I’m good. I’ll be alright,” DeJean said.
