Watkins' had 159 catches for 2,404 yards and 17 touchdowns during his three-year career at Southern Mississippi.

He is expected to compete for a roster spot with a bunch of wide receivers that the Eagles brought in this offseason, including fifth-round pick John Hightower and veteran Marquise Goodwin.  He is noted for his 4.35 in the 40-yard dash that he ran at this years Combine, but if roster sixes are depleted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it could decrease his opportunities of making the team.

The Eagles have now signed two of their 10 2020 draft picks, including offensive tackle Prince Tega Wanogho of Auburn.
