Eagles sign veteran safety Caden Sterns to practice squad, release Jack Stoll
Veteran safety Caden Sterns joined the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad roster on Wednesday as the team released veteran tight end Jack Stoll from the Practice Squad..
The Eagles had signed Stoll, who was released by the Giants right before the season stared, to the practice squad back on Aug 28.
Sterns has played in 21 games, making five starts during his NFL career. He was cut by the Denver Broncos at the end of August, and signed by the Eagles. He was released by the team back on Sept 3 and resigned to the practice squad on Wednesday.
Stoll played for the Eagles 50 games with Eagles from 2021-2023, catching 20 balls for 183 yards, being used mostly as a blocking tight end during his time with the team.
The team elevated E.J. Jenkins (6'7/243) as the third tight end on Friday night in Brazil, which essentially ended Stoll time in Philadelphia.
In addition to the Eagles, Jenkins has spent time with the Jets and Raiders this season.
