With Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline looming to trim the roster to 53 players, the Eagles have already begun making moves.

Eagles Waive Safety Lewis Cine with Injury Designation

trading for quarterback Sam Howell
waived safety Lewis Cine
Cine, who had an interception in the team's final preseason game on Friday night. He is expected to clear waivers and would land on the injured reserve. He was a part of a crowded safety room with Reed Blankenship, rookie Drew Mukuba, Sydney Brown, Tristin McCollum, and Andre Sam.

The former first-round pick had been dealing with a groin injury during training camp and was spotted on crutches after Friday's preseason game.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson Released from QB Room

Thompson-Robinson didn't appear in the final preseason game on Friday night with rookie sixth-round pick Kyle McCord taking all the snaps. The team acquired Thompson-Robinson in an offseason trade with the Cleveland Browns, along with a 2025 fifth-round pick, in exchange for Kenny Pickett

The team added Howell with backup Tanner McKee, dealing with a fractured thumb, meaning the writing was on the wall for Thompson-Robinson to be waived.

The team also has McCord, whom they could try to get through waivers and place on the practice squad. McCord has had a rough pre-season, finishing 24-for-56 for 191 yards, one TD, two INTs, and a 43.1 passer rating.

We will continue to update the Eagles roster moves as they happen.
