The Philadelphia Eagles released wide receiver Rasheed Bailey, who signed a futures contract with the team back in January.

Bailey was an undrafted free agent out of Division III Delaware Valley State and signed by Chip Kelly back in 2015.  He's never played in a NFL game, but has been with Jacksonville, San Diego and the Canadian Football League.

He was an undrafted rookie free agent out of Fayetteville State. He seemed like a long-shot to make the Eagles roster after the team spent mid-round picks on Mack Hollins and Shelton Gibson and added free agents Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffery this offseason.

With Bailey out of the picture, that leaves Dorial Green-Beckham, Nelson Agholor, Bryce Treggs and Paul Turner for likely one open wide receiver spot. Keep in mind, Agholor's contract makes it difficult for the Eagles to release him, making him almost assured of making the team.

This weekend the Eagles open their three-day minicamp for the incoming rookies.
