We are about six weeks away from the restart of the NBA season. As teams are getting ready for a small training camp before play starts, we got a glimpse of what the Sixers’ stars have been up to.

Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are getting ready to head into their third postseason as a duo. This three-month break was a blessing in disguise for the two as it allowed them to get fully healthy. After how the Sixers were knocked out of the playoffs last year, the two young superstars look hungry to hit the ground running in July.

Earlier this week Lauren Rosen got to speak with Joel Embiid, where he dropped a lot of good quotes. When talking about the season returning Embiid said that he has “something to prove” and that “when the opportunity comes, it’s going to be my time.”

The All-Star big man has not been slacking off during this break. Embiid said that over the last month he has ramped up his workouts and has been in the gym six days a week. Conditioning has been a struggle for Embiid throughout his career, but it looks like that is not going to be an issue this time around.

Ben Simmons has also been getting himself ready for play as well. He has spent the break out in LA working on his body and his game after rehabbing his back injury. One key part of Simmons’ game that he has been working on out in Los Angeles is his jumpshot, the missing link to his game.

There has been a lot of talk on what players and teams are going to be the hungriest once play resumes, and these two haven’t been thrown in the mix enough. Embiid and Simmons are locked in and ready to put the league on notice in this season's finale.

A fully healthy Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have been a dominant duo in their time together. But the league might not be ready for these two fully focused and hungry for success.
