With the 2026 NBA Draft day here, ESPN’s Jeremy Woo had the Philadelphia Sixers taking a wing player from Texas in the first round.

Woo mocked Texas wing Dailyn Swain to the Sixers with the No. 22 pick (via the Houston Rockets), their only pick in this year’s draft.

Who is Texas Wing, Dailyn Swain?

Swain is coming off an impressive junior year with the Longhorns, where he averaged 17.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 54.2 percent from the floor. A highlight of Swain’s career came during his sophomore season, in the Tournament, where he grabbed eight rebounds to go with 27 points in the Longhorns' 86-73 loss to Illinois.

How would Swain fit on the Sixers?

Swain could give the Sixers a legitimate two-way wing option behind Paul George, as the team doesn't have much depth behind him at the wing spots. George missed 25 games with a suspension this season, and played in just 37 games this season; the team had Dominick Barlow and Kelly Oubre Jr behind him this season.

From ESPN.com:

He is an interesting fit in Philly, as a downhill player with good length who is a solid enough rebounder and defender to shore up the margins of their rotation. He would deepen the 76ers at multiple positions.

The Impact of Kelly Oubre's Free Agency

If Oubre walks in free agency, Swain could have a rotational role right away with the Sixers, an area they lacked depth in 2025-26.
