ESPN’s Graziano: Eagles QB Carson Wentz Will Win 2020 MVP, Eagles Super Bowl
In 2017 many people believed that Carson Wentz was on his way to becoming the league MVP before tearing his ACL in a December game against the Rams in Los Angles.
That season Wentz threw for 33 touchdowns and just seven interceptions with 3,296 yards in just 13 games.
Maybe 2020 will be the year for Wentz to claim the leagues top player award.
In a roundtable with several ESPN reporters, ESPN's Dan Graziano predicted Wentz would win the 2020 MVP award.
I trust Philadelphia's front office to fix its problems this offseason, and Wentz just had a mostly healthy season and is ready to make a run at MVP glory for an Eagles team I just picked to win the Super Bowl a few paragraphs ago.
Graziano also thinks the team around Wentz will be better. In fact, he thinks they just might be the best team in the league next season, based on his trust in the Eagles front office and having a healthy, bounce-back season from Wentz and Pederson.
The Eagles were his pick to win the 2020 Super Bowl over Frank Reich's Indianapolis Colts.
I don't know who's going to be in next year's Super Bowl. What I do know is that a lot of stuff is going to happen in 2020 that no one saw coming. If you had polled 6,000 people at this time last year, none of them would have had the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. Give me a bounce-back for Carson Wentz and Doug Pederson, and let's say the Colts upgrade at quarterback and muscle past the Titans and Texans in the AFC South.
Should be an interesting offseason ahead for the Eagles, they have a lot of work to do to make this team younger, faster and need to improve multiple areas to close the gap on the leagues top teams.
