In Markelle Fultz two games since his return to the court for the Sixers, he has compiled a total of 13 Points and 15 Assists while averaging 14 Minutes Per Game.  Despite making only Six Shots on 18 Attempts, he has shown flashes with his offensive skills that reminds everyone why he was the First Overall Selection of the 2017 NBA Draft.

NBCSports.com Lead NBA Writer/Managing Editor Kurt Helin joined Mike Gillon Thursday discussing Fultz getting playing time to end the regular season and in the playoffs:

“I’m all for, honestly, giving (Fultz) a little run in the playoffs, give him the feel because for the Sixers, as much as we’re like ‘Man I can see a path to the Conference Finals and I can see winning now’, that’s still not the goal, that’s still not the long term plan here – This is going to be a learning experience for Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid and (Robert) Covington, everybody on that roster.  (JJ) Redick’s been (to the playoffs) before but not most of these guys…..But in that sense I would like to give Fultz a little run just to see how he does but going in with almost zero expectations – His jumper is still mechanical and when you get good defenses that are drilled down on going right at your weaknesses, I don’t know that you can expect a lot of contribution out of him in the short term.  But the experience is good and then he comes back next year more ready.”
