Holy Spirit alum Greg Roman was fired today by the Buffalo Bills.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bills are firing their offensive coordinator, and promoting assistant head coach / running back coach Anthony Lynn to the offensive coordinator position.

"I am blown away by it," ESPN NFL reporter Sal Paolantonio told me on the Sports Bash. "That he would be the guy blamed for that loss or that there would be any issues on that side of the ball,"

"Sammy Watkins is not 100-percent, LeSean McCoy is not the player he was, Tyrod Taylor is an unproven commodity in the National Football League and everywhere Rob Ryan has gone the past few years they have set a record for being the worst defense in the NFL."

Roman released a staement via the Buffalo News saying:

“I just want to thank the Pegulas for the opportunity to work in Buffalo, Russ Brandon, Doug Whaley, Rex Ryan and the entire Bills organization — all the great players and coaches I got to work with. I want to thank all the great fans of Buffalo for all and we love the community of Buffalo. I wish the Bills’ organization the best moving forward.”
