If the Sixers are going to earn their fifth straight win, they are going to have to do it without Joel Embiid.

The team has declared Embiid out for the game tonight in San Antonio against the Spurs tonrest his surgically repaired left knee.

He played in just 23 minutes last night, against Memphis, scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds, an assist, and a block.

Embiid made his return to the court on Tuesday night against the Thunder, and has helped the Sixers compile a win streak heading to San Antonio.

Since his return, Embiid has averaged 27.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.7 three's in 28.3 minutes per game.

After tonight, the Sixers will play three straight home games to close out the season. They will play Detroit, Orlando and Brooklyn to finish the season with a shot to still land outside the play-in tournament.

Currently they are the No. 8 seed.

With Embiid out and Mo Bamba returning from illness,  expect to see Bamba split the center minutes with Paul Reed and maybe K.J. Martin.

Also out tonight is Kyle Lowry, who is resting and will not play against the Spurs.

Both Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris are questionable.
