Pleasantville, NJ, Man Gets 30 Years In Prison For Savage Murder
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that a Pleasantville, New Jersey, man has been sentenced to 30 years in state prison, (without parole) for committing a brutal murder.
Boris Lainez-Rosales
On Friday, July 31, 2026, Boris Lainez-Rosales, 28 years old, from Pleasantville, New Jersey, was sentenced by New Jersey Superior Court Judge Joseph A. Levin to:
- 30 years in New Jersey State Prison following a previous guilty plea to first-degree murder.
Lainez-Rosales confessed to his role in the murder of Leslianette Quintana-Betancourt, 25 years old, also from Pleasantville, New Jersey.
Current New Jersey law requires that he is required to serve the entire 30-year sentence without being eligible for parole.
Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Reveals Disturbing Details
The defendant admitted that on December 2, 2024, he assaulted the victim, who was his domestic partner, and pregnant at the time, with a baseball bat at his home in Pleasantville, causing her death, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation was conducted by the Pleasantville Police Department and Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office's Major Crimes Unit.
