Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Has Dedicated A Street After “Mr. Atlantic City”
He was known as "Mr. Atlantic City" - and now, his legacy will live on at the intersection of Texas and Fairmount Avenues, officially dedicated as:
John Bucci Corner, said Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small.
Small called Bucci “one of the nicest human beings to ever grace the planet Earth.”

City leaders and others recently joined The Bucci Family on Friday, November 7, 2015, to officially unveil the new street sign “honoring ‘John John’ and his lasting impact on Atlantic City,” said Small.
A Humble, Deserving Individual
I knew John Bucci for more than 50 years.
He was genuinely kind and one of the biggest Atlantic City boosters of all-time.
An Encyclopedia of Atlantic City Sports Data
Bucci was the equivalent of a human computer when it came to Atlantic City High School athletes and their statistics.
I officiated high school basketball for more than 25 years.
I have never attended an Atlantic City High School basketball game without seeing John Bucci in attendance and cheering The Vikings on.
Thank You To Ron Bailey
Ron Bailey is a member of the Atlantic City Board of Education, and, he is the nephew of John Bucci.
This official street naming after his “Uncle John John” was very important to Ron Bailey.

John Bucci truly deserves this high honor. Very few people have a street named after them in Atlantic City.
John Bucci is worthy of this supreme recognition.
Great job by Mayor Small and the Atlantic City Council.
Marty Small is an Atlantic City High School and Stockton Unuversity Hall of Fame athlete. He knows how deserving John Bucci is of this high honor.
