Sixers center Joel Embiid will not play Friday against the Houston due to sore left knee, according to the NBA injury report.

Embiid is listed as out for the game, missing his eighth straight game, and hasn't played at all post All-Star break. The last time he played in a game with the team, was back on Feb. 13 against the Knicks, scoring 26 points with 14 rebounds, while shooting 7-of-13 from the field in 34 minutes.

The Sixers will again be without Embiid’s 27.3 points, 13.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. He is shooting 48 percent from the floor and 29.6 percent from three-point range while taking a career-high 4.0 attempts per outing.

With both Embiid and Boban Marjanovic, who will miss his fifth straight game with a bone bruise, Amir Johnson and Jonah Bolden will replace them in the lineup.
