Sixers center Joel Embiid hit the court hard and had to leave Monday night's game four against the Washington Wizards and will not return with right knee soreness after falling awkwardly in the first quarter.

The 27-year old has been having a monster first-round against the Wizards, averaging 29.3 points per game during the first, three games of the series. Before leaving the game on Monday, Embiid had eight points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 11 minutes of play.

Without him the team will went with Dwight Howard and even some Mike Scott at the center position.  Scott started the second half with Embiid out.

Embiid has been dominate in this series, without him the Sixers will need to see Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons pick up some of the scoring slack on the offensive end of the floor.

With Embiid off the floor, Wizards big man Robin Lopez had 14 points to lead Washington in the first-half.
