The Philadelphia Eagles have lost another player in free agency on Friday.

The teams starting right guard, Makhi Becton, has landed a free agent two-year, $20 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to ESPNs Tim McManus.

Becton signed a one-year deal with the Eagles ahead of the 2024 season, and won the starting right guard position, beating out Tyler Steen in training camp.

He was a former No. 11 overall pick of the New York Jets and played mostly tackle in New York before coming to Philadelphia and winning the Eagles right guard job.

He battled numerous injuries with the Jets, missing the all but one game in 2021 and all of 2022.  He managed to play in 15 games with Philadelphia in 2024.

Without Becton, Steen will have a chance to win the right guard position again with another former first-round pick, Kenyon Green, who was acquired earlier this week from Houston in a trade involving C.J. Gardner-Johnson in the mix.

That will be one of the key position battles to watch at training camp this summer.
