Tyrese Maxcey has been ruled out, and Joel Embiid is questionable to play on Sunday when the Philadelphia Sixers head to Atlanta to face the Hawks.

Maxey missed Friday night's game win over the Pacers with an illness.

Grimes Steps Into the Starting Role

With Maxey out, Quentin Grimes replaced him in the starting lineup and scored 10 points with nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, and a block.

Maxey's Absence Puts Spotlight on George

As for Embid, he was questionable for Friday’s matchup against the Pacers and ended up having his best game of the season, pouring in 39 points, nine rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two three-pointers in the win.

It will be interesting to see if Embiid plays in the game. The team has generally had him sit two days before returning to the court, and with the team playing Friday night, he might sit this one out. After today's game against the Hawks, the Sixers have the rest of the week off until Friday when they face the New York Knicks.

Across 10 games, Embiid has averaged 20.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.
