Taking a break from the Bryce Harper hype, we check in with our favorite baseball player from Millville!

MLB player Mike Trout, a South Jersey native, is currently in-contract with the Los Angeles Angels until 2020. CBS Philadelphia reports that Trout's rookie card has sold for $186k and some change. How, you ask?

Well, apparently, this isn't your average rookie card. This card was a 2009 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospects card and was reportedly sold at the Goldin Auctions this past Sunday for $186,580! This card was one of only 25 ever made. What boosted it's value is Trout's signature.

While Mike Trout is out there making South Jersey proud, Bryce Harper, the latest to sign to the Philadelphia Phillies, is petitioning Trout to come home and play for the Phillies once his contract with the Angles expires in about a year or so.

It's anticipated the Angels will make Trout a pretty sweet deal, so who knows whether Harper's dream will come true.
