Since being selected with the 37th overall pick in the 20121 NFL Draft, Landon Dickerson has established himself as one of the best Left Guards in the NFL.

The 26-year-old has been a three-time Pro Bowl selection and one of the top-rated Guards by Pro Football Focus. Dickerson has been a stabilizing force for the Eagles Offensive Line, starting at least 16 games each of the last three seasons.

But after Dickerson went down with an injury during Sunday Night's Open Practice, all Philadelphia sports Fans panicked and started having nightmares about the numerous injuries that have observed over the years in Philly Sports.

Latest News With Dickerson Gives Fans Some Clarity

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports on Monday that Dickerson suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee. Multiple reports state the Eagles are evaluating additional options about what medical procedure the Left Guard needs and how long he will be sidelined for.

The biggest news here is that there is no structural damage to Dickerson's knee ligaments. Having dealt with serious knee injuries during his college football career, the Eagles Left Guard is not facing any major reconstructive knee surgery.

Former NFL Head Team Doctor David Chao put out on social media that, depending on the severity of Dickerson's meniscus injury, the recovery would be either a 6-8 week recovery or a 4-6 month recovery.

UPDATE: NFL Network reports Dickerson will have "minor procedure" and will be considered "week to week".  Per Dr. Chao previous social media posts, he would be projected to return between Weeks 2-6 this season.

Best-case scenario, Dickerson could be cleared to return in October for the Eagles. Worst-case scenario, he would return for the NFL playoffs in January.

What Are The Eagles Options Without Dickerson

-This offseason, Philadelphia acquired former First Round Draft Pick Kenyon Green. The 24-year-old has been getting reps at Left Guard in training camp, but he recently sustained a minor shoulder injury.

A third round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Steen has shown in college and the NFL his versatility and Philadelphia could move him then slide another player to play at Steen's old position.

-At 33 years old, Free Agent Brandon Scherff is a 10-year NFL Veteran with most of his experience playing at Right Guard. He is a five-time Pro Bowl Selection and 2020 AP First Team All-Pro who could slide in at Right Guard and let Philadelphia move Steen to Left Guard if Dickerson is out for 4-6 months.

-Two-time Super Bowl Champion with the New England Patriots, Free Agent Shaq Mason has started 147 games in the NFL. Mason has played most of his games with the Patriots, Buccaneers, and Texans at Right Guard but he does have some experience at Left Guard as well.
