Jim Bowden

Sr. Baseball Insider and Analyst Jim Bowden was on The Warmup with Matt Segal today for Phillies trade rumors. Bowden was very adamant about really blowing this team up including trades involving Cole Hamels and Chase Utley. Bowden said that Hamels will bring you the most value in return and that Utley should be traded to a team like the A's to try and win one last World Series. Also, Cliff Lee is now more of a possible trade candidate in August due to his poor start last night. Follow Bowden and all of his breaking trade deadline news on Twitter.

Chris Cotillo

SB Nation MLB insider Chris Cotillo joined Mike Gill and Matt Segal today to talk more about the Phillies at the deadline. It is just 9 days away and like Bowden said earlier today, Amaro needs to realize that this is his last chance to get what value that he can for his players on the roster. Cotillo also talked about which players could be going where. Cotillo said that the "Pirates have interest in multiple players" on the Phillies roster including AJ Burnett and Antonio Bastardo. Chase Utley does want to stay in Philadelphia for a few reasons, one being his desire to mentor the young players on this team, according to Cotillo who talked to Utley in Minnesota. ESPN.com MLB writer Jerry Crasnick joined the show at 5:05. Lee has just 9 teams on his list that he doesn't need to give his permission on. The no-trade clause doesn't seem to be a factor as opposed to his health, which is a bigger issue judging from his start last night. He sat out from May 18th -- July 20th and it really doesn't give teams any type of audition for a deal to be thrown together is less than two weeks. With a player like Cole Hamels, the Phillies will need 2-3 of their top prospects in return.
