Philadelphia Sixers stars Joel Embiid and Paul George have both been ruled out with injuries ahead of Wednesday's matchup against the Orlando Magic at the Wells Fargo Center.

George played 37 minutes in the Sixers' win in Charlotte on Tuesday night, scoring 29 points (10-of-16 FGs), dishing out eight assists, adding two steals, one block, and six 3-pointers.

He will miss tonight's game as he returns from a knee injury.

As for Embiid, he will miss his sixth straight game as he continues to rest his balky knee and is scheduled to return to the practice court and ramp up his process for a return to the court.

Embiid has played in just four games this season.

In addition to Embiid, center Andre Drummond will miss the game due to a right ankle sprain.

Embiid has played in just four of the teams' 19 games, keep in mind, he played in just 39 games last season, missing from Feb 1 to April 2, two full months, and went 16-27 without him last year in the 43 games he missed.

So far this season, the team is just 5-14 without Embiid.  Is the team taking it easy for the first two months of the season, and hoping to ramp him up to play the final four months and the playoffs.

We shall see, but the Embiid story has been a mystery, with a lack of information from the team not helping matters. One can only hope they are being extra cautious with both Embiid and George to have them fully healthy and ready to go in the playoffs (if they make it) come April.

Its the first of two games this week for the Sixers and Magic, who will play a home and home tonight and Friday, with both games on 97.3 ESPN.
