The Philadelphia Phillies have turned things around since they fired manager Rob Thompson and hired Don Mattingly as their interim manager. The Phillies have gone 12-3 since Mattingly took over, and are the first team in MLB History to win 5 straight series after previously losing six straight series.

The Phillies pitching staff has led the way: In the month of May, Phillies pitchers are 9-4 with a 3.23 ERA, and five saves.  Phillies ace Zack Wheeler is 2-0 with a 2.55 ERA since returning to the lineup.  Maybe the Phillies should make Mattingly their permanent manager.

The Flyers had their exit interviews this past week after being eliminated by the Hurricanes in the NHL Playoffs.  Flyers General Manager Danny Briere held his end of season press conference in which he praised the Flyers fans, and released a long list of injuries to report.  After seeing what some of the players were dealing with, there is only one word to describe their effort: Warriors!!!!  Eight Flyers were dealing with significant injuries, and we will reveal all the pain they were playing through.

The Sixers fired the president of basketball operations during the week. Daryl Morey's tenure came to an end after the Sixers were swept in round two of the NBA playoffs by the New York Knicks.  Former Warriors General Manager Bob Myers is overseeing the 76ers' search for their next head of Basketball Operations.
