Phillies after All-Star Break plus Eagles Training Camp Countdown

Major League Baseball resumes playing after their All-Star break on Thursday while the Phillies are back in action starting Friday with a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs this weekend in Philadelphia.  The Phillies are currently 8.5 games behind the New York Mets in the National League East and they hold the tiebreaker over the St. Louis Cardinals for the last NL Wildcard Spot.  This Sunday, the Baseball Hall of Fame will induct seven former players into Cooperstown, the 2022 Class is headlined by David Ortiz who will be joined by Golden Days Era Committee electees Jim Kaat, Gil Hodges, and Tony Olivia just to name a few of the familiar men being put into the Hall of Fame. The Dog Days of Summer are here and Baseball has been carrying us through this month thanks to the Phillies hanging in the playoff hunt!

The Philadelphia Eagles open up their Training Camp on July 26 at the Nova Care Complex.  The excitement is growing among the fan base as the Eagles lay the groundwork for the 2022 NFL Season.  The Eagles added several new faces through Free Agency, Trades, and 2022 NFL Draft: Wide Receiver AJ Brown, Edge Rusher Haason Reddick, and don't forget First Round Draft Pick Defensive Tackle Jordan Davis headline the newest Eagles' additions looking to make an impact this year.

The Beach Patrol Racing Season gains steam as we get closer every week to the South Jersey Lifeguard Championships.  On Friday Night is the Atlantic City Classic with the Lifeguard races starting at 6:30pm and The Locker Room will have all the details on the results plus interviews from the event on Saturday morning!

On Saturday’s show, Mike Carlin joins me in the studio as we will talk Phillies Baseball and the sports' week in review!  We will hear from the Sports Book Consigliere Dave Sharapan who was at the MLB All-Star festivities in Los Angeles; Dave shares his experience with us and what to look forward to in the second half of the MLB season.
