Eagles’ best number: 117 (DeVonta Smith receiving yards)

Eagles’ worst number: 2 (Jalen Hurts interceptions)

View from my living room:
I watched the game a day after babysitting our four grandsons while our son and daughter-in-law celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary. Hampton, Graham, Nixon and Whit have amazing parents.

Three stars

  1. Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (10 receptions for 117 yards and a TD).
  2. Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons (1 sack, 1 TFL, 3 QB hits and 6 tackles).
  3. Eagles wide receiver Darius Cooper (game-winning TD catch).

Eagles’ best play

Placekicker Jake Elliott gave the Eagles a 17-10 lead with a 58-yard field goal that was tied for the fifth-longest in franchise history.

Eagles’ worst play

Titans defensive back Amani Hooper intercepted Hurts at the 2-yard line on the Eagles’ opening drive and returned it 92 yards to set up Cam Ward’s 2-yard TD run.

Turning point

The Titans led 20-17 after Joey Slaye’s 33-yard field goal with 1:56 left in regulation. Hurts responded by directing his 15th career-game winning drive, which he capped with a TD pass to Demarius Cooper with nine seconds left.

Did you notice? Running back Saquon Barkley suffered a stinger on the Eagles’ first play from scrimmage and didn’t return until the second half.… Tight end Dallas Goedert missed most of the game with what conflicting reports say is a Hamstring or Knee Injury… Center Cam Jurgens played left guard in place of injured Landon Dickerson and Drew Kendall played center. They both struggled against the Titans’ defensive front. … Titans wide receiver Elic Ayomanor made a great play by hurdling Eagles safety Andrew Makuba during a 41-yard gain that set up the Titans’ go-ahead field goal.… A huge contingent of Eagles fans made the trip to Nashville for the game, and the players acknowledged their presence after the game.
