Phillies Place JT Realmuto on IL; Garrett Stubbs Recalled
The struggling Philadelphia Phillies will look to wake up in Chicago tonight against Cubs left-hander Matthew Boyd at Wrigley Field. Boyd, a 2025 All-Star, is back in the Cubs rotation after missing just over two weeks with a left biceps strain and has a 6.75 ERA so far in two starts.
The news came down earlier that they will be without catcher JT Realmuto, who has been placed on the injured list, with Garrett Stubbs being recalled to replace him on the roster. Stubbs is expected to split time with switch-hitter Rafeal Marchan, who has struggled at the plate this season.
