The first Phillies lineup after Bader trade
Despite the trade deadline passing, the Phillies’ lineup on Friday against the Tigers remains largely unchanged from what we've seen all season.

Bader Sits in First Game Since Trade
One day after the Phillies added Bader in a trade from Minnesota, he is not in the Phillies lineup for Friday’s 6:40 p.m. series opener at Citizens Bank Park.
Trea Turner is the leadoff man, with Kyle Schwarber No. 2 spot, first baseman Bryce Harper hitting No. 3, and J.T. Realmuto hitting cleanup.
Rounding the lineup out against Tigers starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (6-10, 4.51 ERA, 1.28 WHIP) is Nick Castellanos hitting fifth, centerfielder Brandon Marsh is sixth, Max Kepler is hitting seventh, Edmundo Sosa is over at third at No.8, and second baseman Bryson Stott is hitting ninth.
Phillies Lineup vs. Tigers Remains Familiar
Rojas Sent Down Amid Roster Shuffle
The big surprise here is Kepler, in the lineup. The free agent addition hasn't made much of an impact this season, and the writing on the wall suggested the Bader move was made to replace him; however, he is here while the team has optioned Johan Rojas to Triple-A Lehigh.
Suárez Gets the Start for Philly
Philadelphia will have Ranger Suárez (8-4, 2.59 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 90 strikeouts) starting on the mound.
The Phillies and Tigers enter the three-game series as two of the top teams in baseball.
