While Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson hinted at lineup changes for the team's upcoming series against the Chicago Cubs, he is keeping things pretty much the same for the series finale against Arizona on Sunday.

While Thomson indicated that he is giving "strong consideration" to moving Adolis García, in the cleanup spot for Sunday's finale against Arizona, he has stacked four left-handed bats in the middle of the order with Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, and Bryson Stott hitting in spots two through five.

The only change in Sunday's lineup involves catcher Rafael Marchan in place of JT Realmuto.  Marchan will hit No. 8, and Alec Bohm moves up one spot to the No. 7 spot in the order.

The Phillies will be facing Arizona ace Zac Gallen, who allowed two runs (one earned), five hits, walked four, and struck out five in his last outing on Tuesday against the Mets.

The Southpaw Advantage: Success Rates Against Zac Gallen

The lefties have had some success against Gallen, hitting .338 (23-68) with five homers.

  • Schwarber 5 for 17, 3 HR
  • Harper 10 for 23, 2 HR
  • Stott 5 for 15
  • Marsh 3 for 13

Here’s Philadelphia’s full lineup for Sunday against Arizona starter Zac Gallen:

  • 1B Bryce Harper
  • LF Brandon Marsh
  • 2B Bryson Stott
  • RF Adolis Garcia

Andrew Painter Looks to Bounce Back After San Francisco Struggle

The Phillies will counter with rookie right-hander Andrew Painter, who pitched well in his first outing but wasn't nearly as sharp in his second start in San Francisco on Monday, allowing four runs on nine hits, picking up just one whiff against the Giants.

Arizona Diamondbacks Lineup vs. Painter:

  • 2B Ildemaro Vargas
  • DH Corbin Carroll
  • SS Geraldo Perdomo
  • 1B Jose Fernandez
  • 3B Nolan Arenado
  • LF Tim Tawa
  • C James McCann
  • CF Alek Thomas
  • RF Jorge Barrosa

First pitch between the Phillies and Diamondbacks is set for 1:35 at Citizens Bank Park.
