Phillies pitchers and catchers are about to head to Clearwater in about two weeks.  While the Phillies appear to be a finished product, there could be room for one more major addition to the roster.

According to MLB writer Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Chicago Cubs have put third baseman Kris Bryant back on the trade block, with the Phillies and Nationals showing "exploratory interest" in his services.

The 28-year-old former NL MVP batted .282 with 31 home runs and 77 RBI over 147 games last season for Chicago.

Adding Bryant would give the Phillies another major move ahead of Spring Training, they currently have plans to use Scott Kingery and have former first-round pick Alec Bohm waiting his turn.

Bryant would give the Phillies another middle-of-the-order slugger, in the prime of his career to pair with Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins and J.T. Reamuto.
