Sixers off season questions

With the Sixers Game 7 loss to the Boston Celtics Saturday night, many questions will arise with what the Sixers can do this off season to improve the team.  Todd believes the Sixers will indeed use their amnesty clause on Elton Brand, while Mike Gill adds they may be better off holding his expiring contract into next year.  Both say they would like to see Nets F Kris Humphries added to the roster as he can add some much needed rebounding to the front court.

Iguodala/Brand/Humphries/Gay

Mike and Todd continued to go over the Sixers off season needs proposing a trade they both like of Andre Iguodala for Memphis Grizzlies SF Rudy Gay.  You will lose the defense from Iguodala, but you'll gain the scoring that you need from Gay.  The guys continued to talk about adding Kris Humphries and using the amnesty clause on Elton Brand.  A possible Pau Gasol trade scenario is discussed as well.

Dei Lynam talks Sixers

Dei Lynam called in and gave us her end of season synopsis on what the Sixers showed this season.  She wondered if using the amnesty clause on a player like Elton Brand would be worth it depending on who you want to replace him with.  Lynam believes that it's for the Sixers new ownership to decide if they want to trade Andre Iguodala this off season as his value is at an all-time high.  She ended with the biggest question: Who is the Sixers core?  Dei Lynam covers the Sixers for CSN Philly and CSNPhilly.com.

Phillies Halladay out 6-8 weeks

At around 4:30 today the Phillies made an announcement that Roy Halladay will be out at 6-8 weeks with a strained shoulder. Mike Gill isn't all that surprised as he was thinking it was only a matter of time until an injury like this to Roy Halladay was going to occur.  Do you go after Roy Oswalt for 1/2 season?  Will you become sellers in July because of this injury?  Who will replace Roy Halladay in the rotation for 6-8 weeks?

Ryan Lawrence talks Halladay injury

Ryan Lawrence called in LIVE from CITI Field and talked a little bit about the injury to Roy Halladay.  He likened it the injury to Chase Utley as to "no one really knows why Utley has bad knees, he just does."  You can't pin point to any specific thing as to why Halladay came down with this injury.  Lawrence also said Kyle Kendrick will continue to remain in the rotation.  Ryan Lawrence covers the Phillies for The Delaware County Daily Times.  Follow him on Twitter.

Marc Jackson calls in

CSN Philly NBA analyst Marc Jackson called in and talked Sixers off season.  Right away, Jackson thinks the Sixers should let Elton Brand walk by using the amnesty clause on him.  Jackson said Spencer Hawes is not athletic enough for what they need going forward and he should walk as well.  On Iguodala, he called him the "anchor of the Sixers team and the M.V.P. of the playoffs.  For Jackson though either Evan Turner or Andre Iguodala have to go and not one player on this team is untouchable.  Marc Jackson serves as a Sixers analyst for CSN Philly and CSNPhilly.com.  Follow him on Twitter.
