The Eagles have decided not to retain offensive assistant and passing game coordinator, Press Taylor after seven seasons with the organization.

Taylor, 33, was brought in as an offensive quality control coach on Chip Kelly and was retained and promoted to offensive quality control/assistant quarterbacks coach when Doug Pederson was hired in 2016.

The 2020 season was as up and down as one can get for Taylor, who works with the Eagles quarterbacks, including Carson Wentz. Many were critical of Taylor for not being tough enough on Wentz.

Taylor became a central figure in the Eagles decision to move on from Doug Pedeson.  It was reported Pederson wanted to elevate Taylor to be the teams offensive coordinator, but owner Jeffery Lurie balked at that idea.  The two sides could not come to an agreement, and Pderson was relieved of his duties.

Now Taylor is out of a job.
