Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is inactive for the regular-season opener against the Eagles, he is the biggest weapon in the Washington offense, and will not be available today.

Reed has a concussion, and announced as out yesterday on the Redskins final injury report.

Reed had a fairly disappointing 2018, catching 54 passes for 558 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games.

The Redskins have also ruled out veteran running back Adrian Peterson, as a healthy scratch, as the Redskins will roll with Derrius Guice, Chris Thompson, and former Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood in the backfield.

Eagles declared QB Nate Sudfeld, DE Shareef Miller, LB Kamu Grugier-Hill, OG Nate Herbig, OT Jordan Mailata, G/T Matt Pryor, and DE Daeshon Hall inactive Week 1 against the Redskins.

Kickoff between the Eagles and Redskins comes at 1 p.m. from Lincoln Financial Field. The game can be heard on 97.3 ESPN.
