On Thursday legendary college football coach Lou Holtz passed away at home in Florida.  Fans and former players alike are mourning the passing of the Hall of Fame coach, best-selling author, and TV football analyst.

Part of the coach's charm was his words of wisdom and he had a way of motivating people into believing in themselves. Holtz started his head coaching career at William & Mary in 1969. He went on to coach at North Carolina State, New York Jets, University of Arkansas, University of Minnesota, University of Notre Dame and University of South Carolina.  During his career, compiling a career college head coaching record of 249-132-7. He won a National Championship in 1988 with Notre Dame.

This Sunday, The Locker Room with Billy Schweim will talk with a local football player from Ocean City, who played for coach Holtz, Jack Neall at William & Mary.  Lou Holtz was one of my favorite coaches and will be missed.

The Flyers fell to the Utah Mammoth on Thursday night 3-0 in a deflating game before the NHL Trade Deadline.  The Flyers, who were on a three-game winning streak, and they could not find enough spark to continue their winning ways. The Flyers are six points out of a wildcard playoff spot but have to jump four teams ahead of them. The Flyers have 21 games left in the regular season.

The Sixers are 34-28 and hold the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference, 11.5 games out of first place and only a half game ahead of the Orlando Magic. Joel Embiid has been out with an injury to his oblique and everyone is hopeful he returns to the line up on Saturday night against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Phillies continue spring training in Clearwater while the World Baseball Classic started their full slate of tournament play on Friday.  Three Phillies are playing for the USA: Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, and Trea Turner.  Other Phillies who are playing in the WBC are Aaron Nola (Team italy), Garrett Stubbs (Team Israel), and Cristopher Sanchez ( Dominican Republic).  We will cover it all this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.
