Chip Kelly is a free agent.

There aren't many openings right now, (not many teams fire their coach with one game remaining on the schedule) but come 'Black Monday' there figures to be many head coaching vacancies throughout the entire NFL.

One opening should be in Nashville with the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are looking to finish with the worst record in the league after firing Ken Whisenhunt mid season.

Now according to a report, Kelly is interested in the Titans upcoming vacancy.

A job with the Titans would obviously reunite Kelly with his college quarterback and prototype to run his desired uptempo system in the NFL.

Jason Cole of Bleacher Report has the Titans as Kelly's '# 1 choice' if he lands on his feet back in the NFL.Cole also lists the Browns, Dolphins and 49ers as other logical destinations.

The Titans are the most intriguing as they already posses a quarterback for Kelly's offense as well as a top pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

With the way things ended in Philadelphia, however, teams should caution themselves and do their due diligence before hiring Kelly. It's unknown whether or not Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie would give him any sort of recommendation in a private conversation.

It is safe to say that Kelly was not afraid to sever ties with the Eagles and reportedly did not ask to stay on, simply because he knows he has other options out there. Reuniting with his college quarterback should be at the top of his list and reportedly it is.
