As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare for their rematch with the New York Giants this Sunday, both teams are staring at history when the kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field.

Philadelphia is looking to avoid losing twice in a season to the New York Giants for the first time since 2007. Also, the Giants have not won a game against the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field since October 2013.

But both teams will be shorthanded in their rematch on Sunday. Multiple Starters will be unavailable for both the Eagles and Giants when they kickoff at 1 pm.

Eagles Name Six Players Unavailable for Sunday's Game

The least surprising name ruled out for Sunday's rematch at Lincoln Financial Field is Cam Jurgens. The 26-year-old Starting Center is dealing with a Knee Injury that forced him to leave the Eagles' win on Sunday in Minnesota. Jurgens did not practice all week.

Philadelphia has a couple of options to replace Jurgens at Center this Sunday:

-Landon Dickerson was one of the best Centers in College Football when he played at the University of Alabama
-The Eagles Drafted Center Drew Kendall in the 5th Round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and he started 37 Games at Boston College
-Philadelphia brought in Brett Toth to play Center when Jurgens was injured against the Vikings, and he has started Preseason games at Center for the Eagles

The biggest name who did not practice this week was Wide Receiver AJ Brown. The three-time Second Team All-Pro Selection has been listed with a Hamstring Injury this week. He has been seen at practice in black sweatpants and a hooded sweatshirt, talking to coaches.

Despite Head Coach Nick Sirianni saying at Friday's Press Conference that Brown is the type of player who can not practice but still be ready to play on Sunday, the Eagles have ruled AJ out for Sunday's game.

Cornerback Adoree Jackson sustained a Concussion during the Eagles' win over the Vikings. The 30-year-old Veteran has not participated in practice all week and has not been cleared from the NFL Concussion Protocol. Without Jackson, Philadelphia is expected to start Kelee Ringo at Cornerback this Sunday.

The Eagles opened Cornerback Jakorian Bennett's Practice Window earlier this week, and he has been a Full Participant all week. He is coming off the Injured Reserve list after he suffered a Pectoral Injury in NFL Week 3 versus the Los Angeles Rams. He has been ruled unavailable for Sunday's game, so he cannot play again until NFL Week 10.

Defensive End Azeez Ojulari was also ruled out with a Hamstring Injury, leaving Philadelphia's Pass Rush shorthanded. Even though he was back at Practice this week, Brandon Graham's comeback from retirement will have to wait until NFL Week 10 since the Eagles have listed him as unavailable for Sunday's game.

An interesting name to keep an eye on is Wide Receiver Darius Cooper. The 23-year-old Rookie sustained a Shoulder Injury back in August and returned to practice from the Injured Reserve List this week. Cooper is listed as Questionable for Sunday, but could be pressed into action without AJ Brown.

The Giants' Injury Report Has Grim Outlook for Defense

The biggest name on New York's Injury Report this week is Edge Rusher Brian Burns. There is conflicting information about what injury the 27-year-old is dealing with; Some reports say he injured his foot in the Giants' loss in Denver, but the Injury Reports list Burns not practicing Wednesday and Thursday as he deals with a Hip Issue.

Burns leads the NFL in Sacks this season (9.0), and he dominated Eagles Left Tackle Jordan Mailata in the NFC East rivals' first matchup earlier this month. Burns is one of three players listed as Questionable for this Sunday's game.

The other two players are Defensive Lineman D.J. Davidson (Ankle Issue) and Kicker Graham Gano (Groin Injury). Gano told reporters on Friday that he's "ready to play on Sunday" versus the Eagles after missing the last four games.

The other starter on the Giants Defense who has not participated in practice this week is Jevón Holland. The 25-year-old Safety suffered a left knee injury that forced him to leave the Giants' game in NFL Week 7.

Holland is a reliable player for the Giants, whose defense allowed the Broncos to score 33 points without him on the field. The Safety is listed as Doubtful to play on Sunday versus the Eagles.

The two Giants players are ruled OUT for the game at Lincoln Financial Field are Cornerback Paulson Adebo (Knee Injury) and Linebacker Chauncey Golston (Neck Injury). Adebo is one of the Giants starters in the secondary, which means New York could be down multiple starters this Sunday. Golston is one of the Giants' top Special Teams contributors.
