Sixers Announce Joel Embiid is Out Indefinitely

“The doctors felt it would be prudent if we wait a couple more games,” Sixers GM Bryan Colangelo said during a press conference on Friday.

The team announced Embiid was expected to miss the Sixers' next four games, following the recommendation of the team's doctors.

The 22-year-old has appeared in 31 games for the Sixers, averaging 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks, while playing under a minute restriction of 24-minutes virtually the entire season.
