Sixers De’Anthony Melton “ready for the game tomorrow” vs Knicks
The Sixers could be back at full strength for their Game 3 matchup with the New York Knicks at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday Night.
De’Anthony Melton, who has missed 44 games this season and appeared in just seven since the calendar flipped to 2024, says he is ready to go for Game 3 on Thursday night.
"Yesterday I was able to get up-and-down. today I went to practice, so I am feeling good, I'm ready for the game tomorrow," Melton told reporters on Wednesday.
The Sixers could use someone to help Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey on the offensive end of the floor, with Melton scoring 11.1 points per game on 36% shooting from 3-Point range this season.
Melton would be in the mix with Kelly Oubre Jr., Buddy Hield, Kyle Lowry, and Cameron Payne for playoff minutes, and adds another solid defender.
With the way some of the secondary guys have played the first two games of this series, getting Melton back would be a welcomed addition to the rotation. My guess is, he would get the minutes that Hield has been getting so far and maybe even give Lowry more of a rest.
