As the Sixers put the final nail in the Bryan Colangelo coffin, the NBA world almost immediately began to try and find his replacement.

The Sixers are an attractive job, and many of the top minds in the game would love to come to Philadelphia to try and put this team over-the-top. Guys like former Cleveland Cavaliers’ GM David Griffin, Boston's Mike Zarren and former Nuggets GM Kiki VanDeWeghe have all been mentioned as possible candidates to step in to the Sixers coveted front-office role.

“A lot of very good general managers in a lot of very good jobs were kind of looking at their contracts and hitting their agents going, 'Is there a way I could get out to get involved in that? Everybody wants the Sixers job.” said ESPN senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Sixers owner Josh Harris was even asked if he would consider bringing back Sam Hinkie to the role as GM, and he didn't exactly say yes...or no.

"We have a lot of respect for Sam and we appreciate how he's positioned our franchise," Harris said during the Thursday press conference. “We’re going to do our best to find the absolute best GM and moving forward the absolute best leader of this basketball organization,” Harris continued.
